Ready to Help
I am a Greenville native who spent my formative years in San Diego surfing, learning Spanish, and being exposed to West Coast Culture, which truly resonated with my soul. From my time working in Young Life, I saw the need for teenagers and young adults to have someone to trust, laugh with, and to process through difficult and uncertain times. Initially, in order to supplement my ministry, I returned to school in 2010 to get my Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. Through studying research and techniques, I fell in love with the field of mental health. In 2012, I began working in a community based program that served ages 10 - 25 in order to provide early intervention and prevention with individuals and families showing early signs of psychosis. I provided advocacy and awareness within the San Diego community regarding these and other mental health concerns, and I connected them to resources for those needs. I am very passionate about creating healthy communities and building cohesive families.
After 7 epic years, I followed my own instincts and faith, and made the choice to move back to South Carolina in order to build roots in the community I grew up in, and continue to drive out the darkness of mental health stigma within my hometown. I long to advocate for families and individuals who have encountered difficult situations, relationships, and fears that prevent them from having genuine and healthy relationships. I am passionate about Spanish speaking families and feel strongly about giving them a voice and tools to thrive.
I specialize in depression, anxiety, trauma, with children, teens, young adults, and adults. I am trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and EMDR for more information about EMDR and how it may be helpful for you. Please check out: www.emdria.org
